A key focus at Winmill Farm was on re-using materials salvaged from the previous house that occupied the site. Other key features included the walled vegetable garden, and combined art and dance studio.

The design was conceived to blend with local vernacular farm buildings. The result is a home built to the Passivhaus standard with a rustic aesthetic which fits the location perfectly.
